Gobsmacking March 10, 2007

Eric has just put up photos from his trip to Japan last October and they are absolutely stunning. Eric is quite a careful person and you can really tell he puts time and thought into his pictures. He still uses an old SLR with actual film, but it’s the skill of the photographer than comes through here.

Frankly, it puts my efforts to shame. I might as well forget my camera and just let him shoot everything!

That is a fantastic photograph. I could never get a good one of Kyoto Tower at night… it was like ghost photography for me.

Oh, and I chained a bike to that very rail, just beyond the bend (by the post) and got a warning… looks like the cyclists who left those two bikes did as well!

Wow..the way the buildings farthest from the viewer are shimmering gives it an almost ethereal quality. Good stuff!
